At the Parrot Society of Australia, we understand that losing your bird can be a terrible experience. That is why we are offering the bird-keeping community this area to advertise any lost or found birds throughout Australia.

ALEXANDRINE PARROT

NAME: Polly

DATE LOST: 1st November 2018

LOCATION: Pacific Pines, QLD

Polly is a 3 month old alexandrine parrot who is hand raised and very friendly.  Her wings are clipped but she just disappeared this afternoon.  It is possible that a burrawong may have taken her.  Children are distraught

NAME: George

LOCATION: Forest Lame, QLD

George is a male pink and grey galah missing the tip of his first toe on his left foot.  George does not have a leg ring however is microchipped.  George has full flight feathers, but isn't able to fly well.  He can say "hey" when happy and is nicer to women.  George isn't a fan of pats but will come to your hand.

LOCATION: Teneriffe, QLD

Leo out male alexandrine flew away from the Teneriffe area of Brisbane in February 2018.  He is a friendly bird with a gentle nature and has a good talking ability.  He even has a few tricks that he uses to impress.  He is a mature bird and was part of out family for 8 years.  We expect that he has been rehomed but we are still looking for him and would welcome his return, no questions asked.  A generous reward is offered.  He is wearing a silver metal leg band and is microchipped.

We lost our 2 year old cinnamon grey cockatiel around lunch time on Sunday 16 December from our home at Delaneys Creek, QLD.  He wolf whistles, does phone ringing, and whistles to "if you're happy and you know it."  He is very friendly and loves socialising with people.  Any information would be greatly appreciated.

2 year old male in Maryborough, QLD.  Last seen flying toward Tinana.  He says "What ya doing" lots.  Speaks gibberish but also "uh oh.  Maybe a bit of pretty bird.  He screeches a bit.  Can be handled a bit, likes to sit on shoulders but not a big fan of fingers coming directly at him.  Desperately missed.  He also does another thing that not many if any cockatiels would do, this is how we identify him.

RED TAIL BLACK COCKATOO

NAME: Jedda

DATE LOST: 22 March, 2019

LOCATION: Mt Gravatt, QLD

She is a young Red Tailed Black Cockatoo.  She is terrified of other birds and will be trying to evade crows.  She loves human interaction so will most likely try and get to you if you call her name.  So far it looks like she is sticking to larger trees (gums) for cover.  She has a stripey red tail and yellow spots around her eyes.  She went missing from Camlet St, Mt Gravatt and was last sighted the morning of 23 March south of the bust terminal at Garden City.

Found at Firetail Court, Morayfield in the afternoon of Saturday 19 January, 2019.  Very friendly and obviously hand raised yellow parrot.  It is now being looked after, safely in a bird aviary.  It is believed to be a bright yellow Quaker Parrot.
