PSOA Social Meeting - June

The June social meeting will be on Saturday 17th June 2023, and will include our General Meeting.

Wendy Edwards, 'For the Love of Birds'.

Wendy is a self-taught artist with a passion for painting and a love of birds. This perfect combination enables her to keep alive the memory of her beloved Galah, Banjo, the emotional inspiration behind her mini artworks. She has been donating these to the shop to raise money for the Parrot Trust, supporting some of Australia's most beautiful parrots. She will be sharing photos of birds that inspire her artistic passion from her travels around Australia.

Wayne Wheatley has been a passionate parrot enthusiast and breeder for over 30 years. He owns a varied collection of Macaws, Amazons, African Parrots, Lorikeets, Golden Conures, as well as a few unusual species such as Kea’s, Blue Naped parrots and Purple Bellied parrots.  Wayne has travelled to many countries from his home in South Africa to observe parrots both in the wild and in bird parks and private collections and has spoken at conferences and events around the world. Wayne will be speaking about aviculture, breeding, marketing and logistics on a commercial scale.

Please join us at Parrot Supplies Australia in Slacks Creek from 3pm for the meeting. The store will be open from 9am on the day. There will also be Raffles and a Lucky Door Prize. 

We will include light refreshments and a BBQ.
