Regretful Sale, Pair of Major Mitchell’s Cockatoos (Companion Birds Only)

Due to a family emergency, I am sadly needing to rehome my pair of Major Mitchell’s. My father in the UK is terminally ill, and I need to be in a position where I can leave at short notice to be with him.

Maverick is a 4-year-old male. He is highly intelligent and interactive, though he can be a bit nippy at times. He only has one leg due to a suspected fox attack while with a previous owner, but this doesn’t slow him down.

Miss Murphy is 2 years old. She is sweet but a little naïve, and very bonded to Maverick, she depends on him greatly for guidance and confidence.

These birds are not for breeding. They have been raised and kept as companion birds and are very much a part of our home life. They have both an indoor cage and an outdoor aviary, and they regularly spend time out of the cage inside our house. I also provide fresh native browse daily for their enrichment.

I will only consider a new home that can offer them a similar lifestyle one that values enrichment, companionship, and ongoing care.
